24/11/2010
Cornish WebServices are working again with big name client Defra, the government department for the environment, food and rural affairs. Cornish are involved in the migration of the Defra website pages from their old website to their new one as part of a contract with Bureau Veritas Air Quality.
Defra are creating a new website structure and design, Cornish will then use their website expertise to copy the current pages across to this new template. Once the design is in the new template, the Defra website will also be put onto the Cornish content management system, Cornish CMS, in order to enable fast editing of the content by Bureau Veritas. Bureau Veritas are providing monitoring and data collection and validation expertise and managing the contract.
Cornish WebServices have previously worked with Defra on migrating some of their other websites and integrating them into the Cornish CMS, including ones for housing and air pollution.
Cornish have several years of expertise in integrating existing websites into their CMS system. This is a seamless process and means that users can update their website at the click of a button. The Cornish CMS also has SEO built in, which means the CMS optimizes websites automatically so they can be found more easily by search engines.
