LEJOG Mini Drive - Fundraising Update
30/09/2011
Earlier in the summer, Michelle from Cornish WebServices took part in the annual Mini Drive from Lands End to John O’Groats.
Starting at the end of June, Michelle led the convoy of Minis on their trip through Great Britiain, seeing some beautiful countryside in England and Scotland whilst having fun along the way.
The charity event was held to raise money for Demelza House Children’s Hospice in Kent and the Children’s Hospice South West orgnisation.
Michelle and her Mum recently presented a cheque to Demelza House for £1113.50, a record breaking amount that the hospice was extremely pleased with.
The money will go towards several projects that Demelza House currently have running, including the refurbishment of all bedrooms at the hospice and a new hydra-therapy room.
Michelle also has a cheque to present to Little Harbour Hospice in Cornwall. Cornish WebServices contributed some money to the fundraising efforts and is keen to support Michelle with her charity projects.
The LEJOG Charity Mini Run is organised by Linda and Terry Baker of the North Devon Mini Register, who also put on the Legendary Mini Grand Tour each year.
