Several social media sites have recently launched analytics tools and mechanisms that help to measure what users are doing online.
For instance HootSuite, the social media dashboard, has created a reporting system that can analyse how all of your social media campaigns - including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn - are performing.
Facebook has announced a system for analysing real-time data gathered from the use of the 'Like' button on your website and the popularity of 'Liked' stories linking to your site on Facebook.
LinkedIn, the business networking website, has also just launched LinkedIn Today - a news feed feature that provides you with tailored news stories influenced by what your industry peers are reading and sharing on LinkedIn.
