Choose Homestay When Studying English in the UK
23/01/2012
Staying with a host family or a ‘homestay’ is a great way for visitors from abroad who have come to the UK to learn English to experience British life.
A warm and friendly welcome in personally selected homes is ideal for new English Language students. Host families can help them settle in to an unfamiliar environment and show the students around the town or city where they are staying.
Concorde International English Language School in Canterbury have a group of specially selected families that students can stay with whilst studying English in England. Students learn at one of their study centres during the day and go back to the homestay for dinner and to sleep.
Many students really get to know their host families during their homestay and feel it is nice to have someone there to care at the end of their days study. All home comforts are on hand at homestays including a free laundry service and home cooked food – including breakfast, dinner and often packed lunch.
All students have a single room at their homestay, so they can make it their own space during their studies. However there is also a chance to socialise and homestays are popular because students can join in with family life and learn social English outside of study hours.
So if you are looking for home comfort and the chance to make friends when studying English abroad, Concorde International offer some great homestay accommodation that could make your English Language studies an even more rewarding experience.
