Kent Association for the Blind (KAB) website upgraded
15/01/2004
Cornish WebServices have upgraded the KAB website to make the website fully accessible and also more easy to update.
The previous website included four seperate sections or mini websites each with a different set of styles. This added a huge cost to the maintenance work as four versions needed updating.
With modern accessible code standards, a website should have one set of content and make use of different stylesheets to give different visual appearances to the same content. Cornish WebServices have recoded some of the website to both meet existing accessibility standards, but also to reduce maintenence costs by 75%.
Thank you so much for what you have done with KAB site. It is much more manageable and accessible, it was a stroke of luck you making contact with us. Les Ellis, Chairman, KAB.
The website is viewable at www.kab.org.uk.
