What are domain names?
Domain names are an important asset and can be very valuable. A domain name is an important aspect of your branding or image and needs selecting with care. Domain names should be considered as part of the marketing of an organisation and planned and developed to protect and enhance the domain name.
Some domain names are more valuabel than others. In general the .com and .co.uk are valuable, and so also are the .org and .org.uk domain names for non commercial organisations. Many of the other domain name extensions are less worthwhile for UK business, but there are exceptions.
Domain names are the address of your website, or the last part of your email address. If you have a website then the domain name registrar will have details of the host nameservers. When someone types your domain name into the browser, they are automatically routed to the actual Internet address of your website.

Cornish WebServices only register domains for clients of our website design and marketing work, and the domain name costs are included within the quotation. When registering domains for clients we always use a 3rd party that does NOT charge a transfer out fee, charge a fee for changing the DNS (domain name server) settings or give out domain name information to 3rd parties for spamming.
